“My work is an exploration of the unknown hidden in the heart of humans and nature.”
Franco-Canadian self-taught artist Brigitte Nogaro sees creation as a great responsibility, believing artists serve as messengers. Before establishing herself as an artist, she worked as a pharmacist with extensive botanical knowledge. From childhood, she was fascinated by observing life, using a microscope to explore the hidden world within plants. This passion for science and the essence of things deeply informs her artistic process.
Brigitte focuses on the magic within each element of life, striving to infuse her work with the innate energy of living beings. Her creative process begins with images of reality, which she then deconstructs through digital techniques. She embraces evolution, spontaneity, and unpredictability, allowing the unknown to shape her work.
“It is only natural that a tale, a story, or a thought comes to mind as an extension of my work.”
For Brigitte, an artist is a mediator, revealing the invisible and transforming understanding into tangible expression. Her art often intertwines with symbolic storytelling, engaging the imagination and evoking deep emotions. She adopts the art of metamorphosis, intentionally distorting digital images to find beauty in imperfection. By breaking an image, she discovers new forms—there is no beginning or end, only continuous transformation.
Digital tools enhance her spontaneity, mirroring the brain’s instinctive processing of patterns and connections. This process allows her creativity to flow naturally, leading to the emergence of new narratives.
“Like the life cycle of stars, I destroy in order to build, for I realize that there is no beginning or end.”
Based in Montreal Canada, Brigitte continues her ever-evolving quest to deconstruct reality, revealing balance and unity in unexpected ways.
